A young boy vacationing with family in Hawaii got caught in the water's undertow. Sucked under, his family couldn't help him and spectators rushed to the ocean to help out. After several moments, a man named Christopher Tuncap pulled him out of the water. Tuncap is being hailed a hero. Another duo of good Samaritans recently rescued seven teenagers after falling through ice in Central Park Monday evening. They spoke out about this heroism on "Good Morning America" this past Wednesday.

Four adults and four teenagers were stranded in choppy seas 12 miles of the coast off Hawaii after their 21-foot boat took on water and sank before the Coast Guard rescued them. One teen captured it all with a GoPro camera. Scott Pelley reports.
A rescue team worked feverishly to save an entangled humpback whale in Hawaii. It was trailing more than 285 feet of braided line near Maui. After a few unsuccessful attempts, the crew had good news to report. "We just freed the whale, guys," one of the rescuers says. The retrieved line will be used to determine where the whale came from. The Sasebo-based amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) rendered assistance to two distressed mariners, Oct. 25, whose sailboat had strayed well off its original course. The mariners, Jennifer Appel and Tasha Fuiava, both from Honolulu, and their two dogs had set sail from Hawaii to Tahiti this spring. They had an engine casualty May 30 during bad weather but continued on, believing they could make it to land by sail. Two months into their journey and long past when they originally estimated they would reach Tahiti, they began to issue distress calls. The two continued the calls daily, but they were not close enough to other vessels or shore stations to receive them. On Oct. 24, they were discovered 900 miles southeast of Japan by a Taiwanese fishing vessel. The fishing ve...

Dramatic underwater footage in Hawaii captures divers rescuing a bottlenose dolphin caught up in fishing line. Full Story: Divers off the coast of Hawaii rescued a bottlenose dolphin who seemed to be asking for their help. The dolphin swam into the lighted areas and scuba diving instructors noticed that a fishing line was restricting the dolphin's movement. The encounter was caught on video on January 11 when instructor Keller Laros spent close to 8 minutes next to the mammal. The video shows the dolphin swimming up to the divers and pushing into Laros—the instructor interpreted this as a call for help. The dolphin allowed Laros to work on him, cutting the fishing line and attempting to free a hook lodged in its pectoral fin. After the fishing line was removed, the dolphin went up ...

Honolulu, the capital of the Hawaiian Islands has developed into a lively city. In the heart of the city there’s a statue in honour of King Kamehama The Third who in 1840 moved his government residence from the island of Maui to Honolulu on Oahu, thus unifying the island kingdom. In later years the Victorian Iolani Palace became the new residence of those who ruled Hawaii. Hawaii wouldn’t be Hawaii if it were not for its world famous surfers when during the winter season the northern part of Oahu with its Waimea Bay, Banzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach is extremely popular with surfers. A total of a hundred and thirty two islands, atolls and reefs make up the island group of Hawaii. Only a twenty-minute flight from Oahu and Honolulu is the fourth largest island, ‘Garden Island’ or, Kauai...
https://www.expedia.com/Honolulu.d1488.Destination-Travel-Guides Welcome to Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii. Stationed on the island of Oahu, Honolulu is ready to show you surf and sun like you’ve never seen before. Whether you’re here to live the life of a beach bum or want to explore the city’s lush tropical surroundings, you’ll find everything you’re looking for on your Honolulu tour. Hawaii had a pretty explosive inception—Diamond Head Crater, also called Leahi, started life as an active volcano. Don’t worry; it’s since gone dormant, which means you can climb to the rim and take in a truly brilliant view of the coast. Head back down to the water and go paddleboarding or swimming; “Honolulu” means “sheltered bay,” and the beachfront here lives up to its name: It’s calm and sheltered y...

In this travel video guide to Maui, Hawaii, I travel to Maui and start off by heading to Haleakalā National Park to watch the sunrise from the highest volcano in Maui. On this part of the island, clouds form at the base of the volcano, and as the sun rises, a myriad of colors form and provide an unforgettable visual experience. Next I throw on a wet suit and hit the waves to learn how to surf -- my first time ever. Though I've ridden the New York City subway after happy hour before, I was still a little unsure about how my balance would be on a surfboard. Luckily, the surf instructor had a black labrador dog out on her board with us in case anything went terribly wrong. Finally, I wrap up the day by heading to the beach with a ukulele to have a jam session with a local Maui resident and ...
As the second-largest island in the Hawaiian chain, Maui is home to less than 150,000 people. It makes up for its sparse population by drawing more than 2.4 million visitors per year, all of whom are drawn to its sparkling beaches, warm water, and lush tropical habitats. Polynesian and modern American lifestyles blend together in the Valley Isle. Maui’s legendary greenery, sprouting from fertile lava soil, has made it a popular place for hikes and scenic drives. Of course, its fascinating culture and history are also huge draws. Once you’ve arrived on the island, your Maui tour should kick off with the capital city, Wailuku, which is full of museums, pubs, and places to explore. Maui is not a large island, and in theory it’s easy to see all of it—after all, you can drive from one end t...

How are ya' feelin' now?
How are ya' feelin' now?
I've got some news for you
You and your attitude
Back off, I won't go near it
Your world goes 'round & 'round
You might be feelin' down
But we don't wanna hear it
Now you've seen better days
It's written in your face
You'll just have to grin & bear it
No matter what you do
It all comes down to you
You are the one who wears it
C'mon tell me, I'm listening
How are ya' feelin' now?
Year, that's what it's all about
How are ya' feelin' now?
Well, don't turn your upside down
Be careful what you say
Or we'll run the other way
I don't mean to burst your bubble
But, ya' carry a lot of weight
Haven't you heard of fate.
Or do you prefer the trouble?
How do ya feel right now?
Don't turn tour upside down
